The location of Porano allows for a wonderful panoramic view of the Cathedral of Orvieto, as well as natural attractions such as  the valleys of the Tevere and Paglia rivers or the distant mountain ranges. In the surrounding countryside you can easily find natural water springs and rural fountains. 
Along the country roadway it is possible to reach the remains of stone aqueducts and artifacts that both in ancient and medieval times, brought water to Orvieto.
